ROUNDUP: Two 700 series spark Indians to win
CREST HILL — Two series above 700 sparked Minooka to a 3,113-2,830 win over host Joliet Central in varsity boys bowling Thursday at Crest Hill Lanes.
Kyle Kurte led the Indians (1-1) with a 740 series and a high game of 269. Zach Segatto's 715 series included a high game of 257.
Chris Dombrowsky bowled a 638 with a high game of 353 to lead Minooka in a 2,763-1,802 junior varsity victory.

MINOOKA — Brooklyn Bachmann scored 15 points and Hailey Arlis added 12 for the Indians (14-0) in the eighth-grade girls Illinois Valley Conference East championship Thursday.

Seneca 29
ELWOOD — Sydney Perkins and Jenni Price scored 9 points each for Gardner-South Wilmington Thursday in the eighth-grade Illinois Valley Conference West championship.
Paige Hacker's 14 points were high for Seneca (12-5), and Eva Bruno added 4.
Seneca advanced to the championship with a 48-20 win over Dwight on Tuesday. Hacker scored 14 points for the Lady Raiders.

COAL CITY — Ty Hakey scored 9 points and Kyle Cowherd 8, but the Warriors (0-3) lost Thursday in their eighth-grade home opener.
Christian Johnson led Coal City with 5 points Tuesday in a 32-17 loss to Bourbonnais. The Warriors were defeated Monday by Dwight, 39-28, in their season opener. Zack Nolan's 8 points were a Coal City high.

GARDNER — Austin Kavanaugh's 29 points paced the Gardner-South Wilmington eighth-graders. Kavanaugh also led GSW with 14 points in a 41-13 win over Braceville.
GSW's seventh-graders lost 32-13 to Ransom despite Ethan Haywood scoring 5 points but won 29-20 over Braceville behind Kal Kociss' 12 points.
