Suspect sought in robbery of hotel

Morris police are investigating a robbery at a Morris hotel that took place early Monday morning, Nov. 19.

According to a Morris Police Department report, the incident occurred just after 2:20 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at Comfort Inn, which is located at 70 W. Gore Road.

A black male reportedly entered the lobby and demanded money from the register. He was described as wearing “glove-like objects” and a small mask that covered his mouth and nose.

According to the report, the man took an undisclosed amount of cash and left running north. Police have not determined if a weapon was displayed during the robbery.
