Abduction attempt reported in Marseilles

Police to step up patrols of area bus stops

MARSEILLES — Marseilles Police are investigating a reported attempted abduction that took place early Thursday morning, according to a Marseilles Police Department press release.

According to the release, police received the report at about 7:05 a.m. that the incident occurred at about 6:50 a.m. at an unspecified location in the east side of Marseilles.

Police responded to the area and patrolled all other bus stops in an attempt to locate the reported vehicle, which was described as an older-model white Buick four-door with rust on the body. No license plate information was reported.
