MINOOKA — The Minooka Community High School chapter of the National Honor Society is currently hosting its annual “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” collection drive to benefit the residents of Lamb’s Fold Center for Women and Children in Joliet.

From now through Friday, Dec. 14, the group is asking the community to donate the following items: diapers, baby cereal, socks, hats, gloves, baby soap, baby shampoo, baby blankets, and paper towels. Items can be dropped off at the main office of either MCHS campus.

Lamb’s Fold Center for Women and Children is dedicated to assisting women and children fleeing domestic abuse.

The MCHS chapter of the National Honor Society has conducted this annual collection drive since 1998, with each year yielding enough donations to require several school buses for transporting student volunteers and donations to Lamb’s Fold.

For information, contact MCHS NHS sponsor Donna Engel by email at dengel@mchs.net or by telephone at 815-467-2140, ext. 164.
