Morris library to host ‘Hobbit’ pre-party

Calling all J.R.R Tolkien and Lord of the Rings fans.

The Morris Area Public Library is hosting  a pre-party celebration of the release of “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey”from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13.

The party taking place at the library is to celebrate the release of the movie on Friday, Dec. 14 at the Carmike Orpheum Cinema 10 in Morris.

The party will have food because no Hobbit party would be complete without food. There will be door prizes, such as tickets to “The Hobbit” and much more.

The library also plans to show “The Fellowship of the Ring” and playing games/ Those planning to attend are invited to bring a copy of “The Hobbit” to read favorite passages. 

This event is free and open to the public. If anyone under the age of 12 wishes to celebrate Hobbitses, the library asks that a parent to accompany them.
