Karissa Lynn Connor and Noah John Olson were united in marriage Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Morris. Father Ed Howe officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a soft white taffeta mermaid gown with pleated skirt and a soft bubble hemline. It featured a form-fitted strapless bodice accented with a black satin ribbon and a chapel length train. She carried a bouquet of fuchsia peonies.
Kamilla Laird of Oswego, twin sister- of- the bride, was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Karlene Wills of Morris, Kaille Poche of Alexandria, Va., Bernadette Connor of New Lenox, Kate-Lynn Geier of Seneca, Karen Olson of Morris, Jennifer Rink of Morris and JerriLynn Wills of Morris. Becca Stephens of Morris served as the bride’s personal attendant.
The bride’s attendants were attired in black floor length chiffon gowns accented with a 3D floral detail along one shoulder.
Chase Olson of Morris, brother of the groom, was the best man.
Groomsmen were Brogan Connor of Morris, son of the bride, along with Clayton Melocik of Morris, Dustin Geier of Seneca, Kane Connor of New Lenox, Jerry Barron of Willow Springs and Ryan Stephens of Mazon.
Ushers were Keith Wills of Morris and Charles Laird of Oswego.
Maddie and Moira Wills and Chloe, Lexi and Sophie Connor, all nieces of the bride, were the flower girls.
Kingston Olson, son of the bride and groom was ring bearer, along with the bride’s nephews Connor, Ian and Kevin Laird and Ethan Poche. They were joined by the groom’s nephews, Elliott and Quinn Geier.
Readers at the couple’s mass were Steve Thompson of Glendale, Ariz., Danny Poche of Alexandria, Va., and Tracey Steffes of Morris. Kathy and Keith Smith of Streator presented the gifts to the altar.
A Paris-themed reception was at the Morris Country Club with Eric and Angela Greve acting as reception host and hostess.
The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Karen Connor of Morris.The groom is the son of Greg and Donna Olson of Verona.
Grandparents of the bride are Marie Klinker of Morris and the late Everett Klinker, and the late Earl (Finny) and Lois Connor of Morris.
Grandparents of the groom are Betty Olson of Highland Park and the late Ansley Olson and the late Wesley and Joann Steffes of Morris.
The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and they currently reside in Morris.
Karissa is a Lewis University graduate and works as a project administrator for URS Corporation in Warrenville, Ill.
Noah attended Joliet Junior College and is employed in the telecommunications field with ClearVoice, Inc. of Channahon.
