Two families displaced as result of apartment fire

Chaplain helps find lodgings for families

MINOOKA— Heavy smoke was pouring out of an apartment building Tuesday night when the Minooka Fire Protection District arrived on scene.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly and with no injuries.

The fire district was called to the structure fire at 101 Aux Sable Dr. at about 10:25 p.m., according to a press release from Minooka Fire Chief Al Yancey. The structure was a six-unit, two-story apartment building.
