Gripping grappling changes

MINOOKA — For the second time in as many years, there has been a change at the top of the Minooka wrestling team. What was set in motion two years ago when venerable coach Bernie Ruettiger stepped down, concluded this past offseason with the return of longtime assistant coach Jeff Charlebois. Charlebois, who has been the head coach in Oswego the past two years, replaces Paige Schoolman after his one-year stint at the helm.

"One of the most important things is getting Jeff back into the program. That's huge," Schoolman said recently. "I'm glad he came back and is part of this program again. He's been a big part of what we've been missing the last couple of years."

Schoolman has exited the wrestling program all together this winter and he said that it was due to a number of factors.
