Workforce Services helping local people
Woman gets back to work with help from academic plan
Grundy Workforce Services, located at 1715 N. Division St., Morris, is successfully helping local residents find employment in tough economic times. Here is one of those success stories:
Sarah had been working in design and drafting for more than 15 years, when she was laid off and faced unemployment. Her job search effort was challenging considering the economic times and her knowledge of current AutoCad programs. She learned of the Grundy Workforce Services office and was interested in their free scholarships to help pay for training.
Sarah met with a JJC/Grundy Workforce Services Advisor and created an academic plan to complete coursework necessary to meet industry/employer expectations in today’s job market.
