Fitness center celebrates milestone, new facility

SENECA — Jazzercise, the world’s leading dance fitness program, announced the opening of its newest fitness center in Seneca. Located at 258 N. Main St., the Seneca Jazzercise Center offers nine classes weekly.

Seneca Jazzercise is hosting a two-day sale on Monday, Jan. 7 and Tuesday, Jan. 8 in honor of their new facility opening as well as to celebrate 5 years in Seneca.

New customers can take advantage of three great options with this sale: Start for free with 12 month auto-debit option, $29 to start with 6 month auto-debit, or just $89 for 10 classes.  Classes Monday, Jan. 7 will be held at 8:30 a.m. and 5:40 p.m.  Class is at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8.  Customers can also sign up online at jazzercise.com. 

“Jazzercise is so popular in Seneca that we found it necessary to open a larger facility,” local instructor Kara Ellis explained. “We are proud to have been offering classes in Seneca for 5 years now and look forward to our future here.”

“We can now offer our customers a great workout in a brand new center and expand our class offerings.”  Ellis continued, “We held our first class in January 2008 with only three students and currently have more than 50 members.”

Classes formerly held at 311 N. Main St. will now take place at the newly renovated Seneca Jazzercise Center at 258 N. Main St.

The Seneca Jazzercise current class schedule includes nine classes weekly: 8:30 a.m., Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday; 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; and 5:40 p.m. Monday and Wednesday.

A 60-minute Jazzercise class offers a fusion of jazz dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga, kickboxing and Latin-style movements set to a variety of popular music.

Each class includes a warm-up, high energy aerobic routines, muscle toning with weights or exercise tubes, and cool down stretch segment for people of all ages and fitness levels.
