Frank W. Warriner
Mr. Frank W. Warriner, 98, of Morris, Ill., passed away early Friday morning, Jan. 4, 2013, at Walnut Grove Healthcare Center in Morris.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morris, with Pastor Patrick Lohse officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St., Morris.
Born July 30, 1914, in Wilmington, Ill., Frank was the son of George and Mary (Sampson) Warriner. He received his education in the schools of Grundy County and attended Morris High School.
Frank married Marguerite Enerson on Aug. 19, 1944, at the West Lisbon Lutheran Church. For all of their married life they farmed in the Morris area and moved into Morris in 1977. He was employed at Walker Sales and retired in 1992.
He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Grundy County Farm Bureau and served on numerous boards.
Survivor’s include two sons, Frank Warriner Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz., and John (Peg) Warriner of Viilla Grove, Ill.; five grandchildren, Shelley (Joey Hames) Hanson of Anchorage, Alaska, Shane Warriner of Coconut Grove, Fla., Jennifer (Mike) Carter of Tolono, Ill., Lisa (Chris) Cheely of Tolono, and Tessa (Justin) Prosser of Tolono; seven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Carole (Clifford) Hausken of Morris; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his loving wife, on Jan. 4, 2000; one great-grandson, Drew Lundquist; one daughter-in-law, Pat Warriner; seven sisters, Hazel Kay, Lulumae Trotter, Ethel Weichen, Florence Leach, Gladys Herren, Virginia Galli and Helen Gobrecht; and two brothers, George and Harold Warriner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or to organizations of the donor’s choice.
