Minooka's senior wrestlers have script TBD
MINOOKA — When I cover senior night events, I almost always ask the coach about his or her senior class. And I almost always get a stock answer.
The odds are great that the coach will praise their seniors and thank them for what they've done for the program. Usually the coaches seem genuine, but there have been a few instances where, knowing what I've known about certain members of a class, I suspect the coach is saying the things they're saying because they feel they have to. But the point is that those things get said.
Thursday night in Minooka, I got the rare refreshing answer when I asked wrestling coach Jeff Charlebois about his senior class. It wasn't that Charlebois ripped the class or anything like that, but he made it clear that, in a program with high expectations, compliments wouldn't be thrown around without being warranted.
