BRIEFS: Celebrate five years of Smokefree Illinois
On Jan. 1, the state of Illinois celebrated the fifth anniversary of the Smokefree Illinois Act. This legislation was developed to protect the public and employees in many different environments from the effects of second-hand smoke.
Locally, the Grundy County Tobacco Coalition will host a celebration of the law from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23. It will be held in the community room at the Morris Municipal Services Facility, 700 N. Division St.
