(Continued from Page 2)

This will be the first gathering of the “Serving in All Seasons” series.  The group meets four times per year to offer an inspirational evening out for busy women. The evening will include a special presentation, beautiful vocal and piano selections, featured speaker, a warm drink buffet, and free babysitting.

There is no charge to attend, and all area women are welcome.  You do not need to have attended in the past.

Women at our BEST (building, encouraging, strengthening, and teaching one another) will meet in the multipurpose room of Oglesby Union Church for this event.

Pianist and vocalist, Jill Iwanicki of Depue, will bless the evening with her musical talents.  Originally from Peoria, Jill has lived in the Illinois Valley now for 27 years.

Wife, mother, speaker, and teacher, Lin Stuhr, of Peru, will be the featured speaker for the evening.  Lin will present “For Such a Time as This,” taken from the book of Esther.

Born to a Quaker farming family in Iowa, Lin has now resided in Peru for 44 years with her husband of 59 years Daryl. Lin and Daryl have four children, eight grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren.

To RSVP for the event, women can visit Women at our BEST on Facebook, contact the group at women.at.our.best@gmail.com, or call Mary Black at (815) 326-9727.

Please request child care when you RSVP.
