The Special Education Recognition Award honors her for her academic scholarship, leadership skills and commitment to the program.
Noethe, a 2009 graduate of Morris Community High School, is an elementary/special education major at EIU.
She is the daughter of Jim and Donna Noethe of Morris.
Geiger graduates from Lakeview College
Sarah Geiger, daughter of Robert and Vicki Geiger, graduated Dec. 15, 2012, from Lakeview College of Nursing. She plans to work as a registered nurse in the Chicagoland area.
Area students named to EIU’s Dean’s List
CHARLESTON, Ill. — More than 1,080 undergraduate students have been named to Eastern Illinois University’s Fall 2012 Deans’ List.
The Deans’ List at EIU recognizes undergraduates with a declared major whose academic performance has been excellent. Students who achieve a GPA of 3.80 to 4.00 (on a 4.00 scale) while completing a minimum of 12 graded semester hours, excluding credit/no credit grades, in a fall or spring semester will be named to the Deans’ List.
Area students who were recognized by EIU for this honor include:
• MINOOKA — Jacob J. Meyerhoff, who is majoring in history; and Rory A. Wallace, who is majoring in kinesiology and sports studies.
• MORRIS — Molly R. Connon, who is majoring in education; Kristen A. Dunbar, who is majoring in communication studies; Holly L. Gay, who is majoring in school, family and consumer science; Aindrea A. Hogan, who is majoring in communication studies; Teala M. Irons, who is majoring in art; Jared E. Kopczick, who is majoring in business; Ashley M. Lamb, who is majoring in psychology; Stefani J. Noethe, who is majoring in special education; Nicole M. Rickard, who is majoring in education; Samuel J. Sanches, who is majoring in geology and geography; Matthew D. Local students earn North Central College Dean’s List honor
NAPERVILLE, Ill. — North Central College has named its Dean’s List of scholars for the 2012 fall term. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, undergraduate students must maintain a grade-point average of 3.6 (4.0=A) for the term and be enrolled as full-time students. The following students from the area were named to the Dean’s List during fall term:
