"By keeping it at 25 mph, it makes speeders out of all of us," he said.

Benner said the area is only four blocks and, for increased safety, the slower speed is worth it.

"I'm not going to say it completely eliminated the problem, but it greatly reduced the amount of incidents we have out there," he said.

Wow, what a waste of money and time! Is this all the Council has to do? A $2500 study? Really? That's the kind of stuff you try to remember come election time. I drove that 4 blocks for 20 years at 25mph. I was shocked when it went up to 35 and found myself often going 25 anyway. I like the scenery. It should have stayed at 25, should now again remain at 25. Get a life, quit spending money on idiotic things. Just the fact that you entertained the subject disturbs me. Take a stand. Get real! Leave it where it should have always been, 25mph. Tell your alderman!
