The members of the JJC Brass Quintet are Lauren LeMahieu, trumpet; Jeff McMillin, trumpet; Rich Blaha, french horn; Charles Morgan, conductor/trombone; and John Cryder, tuba.  St. Joseph Church is home to one of Joliet’s largest pipe organs which is housed in a magnificent acoustical setting, making it the ideal location for a concert of brass and organ music.

The concert is free and open to the public. There will be a free-will offering for the restoration of the church’s historic building. For more information, call the JJC Fine Arts Department at (815) 280-2223.

Philip Spencer, professor of music, is the director of choral and vocal music at Joliet Junior College.  His teaching duties at JJC include conducting both the college’s choral ensembles and teaching world music, applied and class voice.
