James H. Osmanson

VERONA — Mr. James H. Osmanson, 53, of Verona, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 5, 2013 at his home.

Born Jan. 7, 1960, in Chicago, James was the son of Ray and Marian (Bols) Osmanson. He graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1978.

For 31 years, James was employed at Exxon Mobil Refinery in Joliet.

James was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Gooselake Area Club.

He was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. He also enjoyed fishing and walking in the woods with his dog “Molly."

Survivors include his two sons, Matthew (fiancée, Megan Loftin) Osmanson of Verona and Marc Osmanson of Seneca; two sisters, Nancy (Harion) Enervold of Verona and Lorel Canaday of Carey, Ill.; one brother, William Osmanson of Morris; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St., in Morris. Rev. Deb Percell will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m until time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
