COAL CITY — Ms. Marjorie "Marge" Neve 82, of Coal City, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Heritage Healthcare in Dwight.

Born in Avoca, Iowa, on April 27, 1930, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna Neve.

Marge joined the women’s Army Corps in 1949. She served in Okinawa during the Korean Conflict and spent more than 20 years in the military. During the Vietnam War, she was stationed in Oahu, Hawaii, and retired there.

Survivors include a brother, Mike Neve; several nieces, nephews and cousins;  and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and four brothers. 

Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no visitation.

Inurnment with full military honors will be at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.

Memorial contributions in Marge’s name may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
