SENECA — Mr. Alvin "Bud" Johnson, 96, of Seneca, Ill., died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Rivershores Care Center.

Alvin “Bud” was born June 6, 1916, in Morris to Louis and Anna (Enger) Johnson. He married the love of his life Elizabeth “Claire” Irwin on June 17, 1939, in her parent’s home in Seneca. She preceded him in death on May 21, 2011, after 72 years together.

He farmed in La Salle and Grundy County, retiring in 1976. They then moved to Seneca and built their dream home. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Seneca since 1939, where he enjoyed many church family friends.
