USF Solutions Resource Center offers continuing education
JOLIET, Ill. — The University of St. Francis (USF) is offering a continuing education workshop called “Interdisciplinary Forensics: The Crime of Sexual Assault.” It takes place Feb. 27 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the university’s San Damiano Hall in Donovan Hall, 603 Taylor St., Joliet.
The Interdisciplinary Forensics course is free to the public, but there will be a $40 fee for professionals attending who want continuing education credit (nursing, social work and counseling professionals). This course will be co-hosted by the USF Solutions Resource Center, the Leach College of Nursing, and the Social Work and Criminal & Social Justice Departments.
A second, online test-prep course called “Project Management Professional” will run from March 11 through May 3, 2013. This course is intended for those interested in working in the field of project management or general or operations management, and for working adults who wish to refresh their skills.
Those students who qualify will also be eligible to sit for the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation.
The PMP credential is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers. The CAPM certification is a valuable entry-level certification.
