Man arrested after altercation at Yorkville elementary school

A Yorkville man was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday, Feb. 21, following a dispute with a staff member at Longbeach Elementary School in Yorkville.

Charles E. Booker, 37, was taken into custody on misdemeanor charges of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and reckless driving.

The incident occurred outside Longbeach Elementary School in Yorkville, where Booker’s daughter goes to school.

He allegedly got in a verbal dispute with a staff member of the school before parking his car recklessly, walking up to the building and continuing the altercation until it was broken up by the assistant principal.

It was an isolated incident and no students were involved.
