Prairie Singers present spring concerts

The Prairie Singers will perform their spring concert series, The Best of 25!,” on April 5-6 at the Reddick Mansion and on April 7 at the Dwight Country Mansion.

The Prairie Singers continue their 25th season of music making with their spring concert series entitled, “The Best of 25!”

The series will begin at 7 p.m. April 5-6 at the Reddick Mansion and continue at 2 p.m. April 7 at the Dwight Country Mansion, Garden Room.

The concert series concludes this year with selections that the singers have sung in the past 25 years of music making. The singers will present a collection of pieces that all will enjoy that include sacred, spiritual, comic, operatic, classic, Broadway and patriotic.

The Reddick Mansion concerts requires ticket reservations.

Cost of the ticket is $12 and does not include a meal. Tickets may be reserved by calling the Reddick Mansion at (815) 433-6100.

There is limited seating each evening.

Tickets for the Dwight Country Mansion concert, Sunday April 7 are $24. A light luncheon is included for this dinner concert.

Tickets are limited and seating is based on the order received.

Deadline for tickets will be April 1. The Prairie Singers are a chamber ensemble comprised of singers from Grundy, La Salle, and Livingston counties.

The group performs literature from a broad range of historical periods, along with a wide variety of show tunes, popular, and classical favorites. The choral ensemble welcomes membership inquiries from interested singers.
