CHANNAHON — Local children between the ages of 7 and 14 years are invited to partake in the local qualifying Aquafina Major League Baseball’s Pitch, Hit and Run competition hosted by the Channahon Park District.
The event starts at 1 p.m. at the baseball diamonds at Central Park on Tuesday, March 26. This unique skills competition will test pitching, batting and running abilities against other local boys and girls.
Participants will have the chance to advance a total of four levels through the competition, including local and sectional competitions, team championship events at 30 Major League ballparks and the national finals at the MLB All-Star Game. Boy and girls will compete and be rewarded separately. The competition is free and registration is required, by March 24, at the Channahon Park District, 24856 W. Eames Street, Channahon.
