CHURCH BULLETINS: Peace Chapel offers family fun Saturday
Family Fun Day will take place at Peace Chapel from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday March 30.
Inflatables, food and games will be offered, as will a raffle for grills, bikes, game cards and Easter baskets.
Bring your family and friends to this free event that everyone will enjoy.
Soup supper, concert planned on April 6
Coal City United Meth-odist Church, located at 6805 E. McArdle Road in Coal City, will host its last “Hallelujah” soup supper of the season from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 6.
The meal will include a choice of Stuffed Pepper Soup or White Chicken Chili, ham or turkey sandwiches, crackers, a beverage, ice cream and dessert.
The cost will be $8 for adults and children 13 and older; $4 for children ages 6-12; and $2 for children ages 3 to 5. Children 2 and under will eat for free. Carry-outs will be available.
All proceeds will go to the church’s building fund and tickets will be sold at the door.
Everyone is invited to stay for a Christian music concert performed by “Wrong Perception” at 7 p.m., immediately following the soup supper.
“Wrong Perception” is a contemporary Christian group from the Grundy County area that plays a wide variety of music. The cost for the concert is a free-will donation and everyone is invited to attend.
Jewish Congregation lists activities, worship
JOLIET — Shabbat Services for the Joliet Jewish Congregation will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday evenings, while Saturday services are at 9 a.m.

Children’s Religious/Hebrew School classes meet every Sunday at the synagogue at 10 a.m. Please call the office for details on joining a class.
In addition to its weekly worship services, the congregation hosts a Lunch and Learn every Thursday, unless otherwise stated.
This wonderful way to study the Hebrew Bible takes place from noon to 1:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per week. and those attending should RSVP.
The congregation’s Hadas-sah book club meets monthly at a congregant’s home to discuss Jewish works and authors.

Joliet Jewish Congre-gation’s monthly potlucks take place at 6 p.m. on the third Friday of each month, with services following at 7 p.m.

Mazon Methodist Circle meets, looks ahead
The March meeting of the Mazon Methodist Circle was held with Sharon Knopp as hostess.
It is going to be a very busy month with all the upcoming events. Easter Sunday, Circle members will be helping with the breakfast following the service.
A concert by Jake Tackett to be held at 7 p.m. April 13. The Circle will be providing a punch, coffee and cookie reception in the fellowship hall.
Plans were also made for the Buffet Dinner to be held on April 27.
Kay Tucek provided patterns for the senior coverups that are in the process of being made.
A donation has been made to the 3rd annual 5K Run/Walk, which will be on June 1st.
