Crime Stoppers tips lead to arrest of retail theft suspect

Several Crime Stoppers tips led to the arrest of a Marseilles woman who was wanted on a class A misdemeanor charge of retail theft.

Tonya Hancock, 32, allegedly committed the crime at Newark BP, in Newark, in November of 2012. Kendall County detectives published a Crime Stopper alert and received several tips.

On March 19, they issued a warrant for Hancock’s arrest.

She was arrested by Sandwich police March 22 and posted bond.
