First Midwest Bank continues to show strong community support, raising over $3,300 in employee pledges for their recent United Way campaign.

This support represents 100 percent of their employees participating.

“The 100-percent employee participation shows that we are 100-percent committed to help our community,” stated Tom Tesdal, First Midwest Bank president.

“The United Way is a perfect conduit where your contribution helps 27 organizations that assist more than 38,000 individuals in the community. We are happy to continue to partner with the United Way of Grundy County and I am proud of my co-workers for their 100-percent participation.”

In addition to the generosity of its employees, First Midwest Bank also made a corporate commitment of $2,500; making their 2013 United Way campaign total nearly $6,000.

First Midwest supports the United Way of Grundy County in other ways. Mike Carey, vice president of First Midwest Bank, has served on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Grundy County for 10 years and is the past president.

“First Midwest Bank encompasses great leadership, passionate staff, and true corporate citizenship,” stated Karen Nall, executive director of the United Way of Grundy County.

“Not only do they support our United Way and its 27 community partner agencies, but their employees support other efforts in the community that make great impact on the individuals and families who live and work here.

“We are very grateful for the continued support from First Midwest Bank and their employees.”

The United Way of Grundy County raises funds for 27 local not-for-profit partner agencies that provide programs and services for individuals in Grundy County. This year’s campaign goal is $455,000.
