Tech Trot 5K will raise funds to buy new technology

White Oak Elementary School is hosting on Saturday, May 11 the first-ever Tech Trot 5K Run/Walk. The Tech Trot 5K was created to raise funds to purchase new technology for the students at White Oak Elementary School.

The Tech Trot is not only for the seasoned runners out there, walkers and kid relay teams are also encouraged to join in.

Students from White Oak and all surrounding schools are encouraged to team up with friends and create their own unique relay team. Relay teams can have up to six participants ranging from Pre-K age to 12 years old. 

White Oak Elementary School Principal Chris Maier set a goal to raise $20,000 this school year for additional technology purchases.

Race time is 9 a.m. Same day registration will start at 7 a.m. Participation fee is $25 per participant. 

Registration forms may be picked up in the White Oak school office or you can register online at www.signmeup.com under White Oak Tech Trot.
