Regional Superintendent of Schools Chris Me- hochko has hired Michelle Senffner to fill the vacancy of assistant superintendent in the Regional Office of Education.

Senffner currently serves as assistant principal at Bednarcik Junior High School in the Oswego 308 School District.

Mehochko had posted the assistant superintendent vacancy on March 28. By the time the posting was closed on April 19, there were 48 applications. Mehochko reviewed the applications and contacted eight individuals to request interviews. Two retired superintendents, one representing the interests of each county, participated in the interview process.

Senffner was offered and accepted the position on May 16.

“I am excited about Shelley coming onboard,” Mehochko said. “Her involvement on numerous districtwide committees has enabled her to learn the process of how districts operate. These experiences will benefit Shelley as she assists our office in working with the districts and providing services to our residents.”

Senffner and her husband, Jason, live in Yorkville with their two children, Peyton and MacKenzie.
