CHURCH BULLETINS: UFO abductions examined at Lifetree Café

Published: Friday, July 12, 2013 9:12 a.m. CDT

The possible existence of extraterrestrial life will be examined at Lifetree Café at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, at The Shrimp Barn, Minooka.

This Lifetree event features a filmed interview with Stan Romanek, who has reported more than 100 extraterrestrial encounters. The Lifetree film explores his personal stories of alien abduction.

Romanek authored “Messages: The World’s Most Documented Extraterrestrial Contact Stories.” His video of an alien-looking figure peeking in his window has attracted the attention of UFO enthusiasts, as well as skeptics.

According to Lifetree Café representative Craig Cable, the Lifetree event will invite accounts from local people who believe they’ve seen unidentified flying objects. He said, “Thoughts of life on other planets have implications that fascinate some people and scare others.”

The Lifetree film also includes an interview with a former Washington attorney who explains a 2009 Vatican announcement about the possibility of life on other planets.

Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Snacks and beverages are available.

Lifetree Café is located at The Shrimp Barn, 125 W. Mondamin St., Minooka.

Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversations about life and faith in a casual coffeehouse-type setting. Questions about Lifetree may be directed to Pastor Scott Lohman at (630) 379-1477 or scott_lohman@sbcglobal.net.
