Rosborough named chief medical officer, regional director
OSF HealthCare announces promotion of physician from Ottawa hospital
OTTAWA, Ill — Brian S. Rosbor-ough, MD has been named as chief medical officer (CMO) of OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center, as well as regional director for OSF Medical Group – I-80 Region.
In his position as CMO, Dr. Ros-borough participates as an administrative officer of OSF Saint Elizabeth. He reports to Robert A. Chaffin, CEO of OSF Saint Eliza-beth.
As regional director for OSF Medical Group – I-80 Region, Dr. Rosborough manages the OSF employed physicians in the I-80 region.
He is responsible for the operational and financial performance of OSF Medical Group’s assigned practices in the region.
Dr. Rosborough reports to Charles A. Dennis, MD, vice president – OSF Medical Group, Central Region.
Dr. Rosborough is no stranger to a leadership role – he has served at Ottawa Regional Medical Center, a part of OSF HealthCare, as its vice president of medical affairs since 2010.
He was president of Ottawa Medical Center from 2000 to 2010, and has experience both as an independent practitioner and as a physician in a group practice.
The promotion will not impact Dr. Rosborough’s patients. He still intends to schedule appointments throughout the week and will be assisted by Ami Dose, a family nurse practitioner within the same practice.
Dr. Rosborough graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College Of Medicine at Peoria, and completed his residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford.
He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and belongs to the American Academy of Family Physicians.
