Grundy County wraps up 65th annual Corn Festival

Members of the Minooka High School band perform in the Grundy County Corn Festival. The band took several honors, including a first-place finish in the High School A category. It also won Best High School, Best Drum Line and Best Horn Line.

The 65th annual Grundy County Corn Festival wrapped up last weekend with its traditional parade. The festival, held from Sept. 25 to 29, had a theme of “Corn Festival – Where Good Friends Meet” and offered five days of activities and events for attendees.

Some were lucky enough to walk away from the festival as a winner in one of many contests and are listed here.
