Library offers drivers program

Course to help people get back on track

Published: Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

The Morris Area Public Library is hosting an AARP-sponsored Driver Safety Program from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 5.

Cost is $12 for AARP cardholders and $14 for non-AARP cardholders.

Some drivers who are 50 years of age or older have never looked back since they got their first driver’s licenses, but even the most experienced drivers can benefit from brushing up on their driving skills.

By taking this driver safety course, participants will learn the current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques and how to operate your vehicle more safely in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment.

Call 815-942-6880 to register or stop into the library.

The Morris Area Public Library is located at 604 Liberty St., Morris.
