We Care thanks supporters from Oct. 12 Cruise Night

To the Editor:

We Care would like to thank all those who purchased 50/50 tickets for Cruise Night on Oct. 12. More than $8,000 was raised despite the rainy day that kept many car owners away. Tom Hosek of Chicago Pizza Department was the winner of the 50/50 drawing.

A big thanks, also, to the employee team at AkzoNobel, who provided the volunteer labor for our Cruise Night food booth. This is the second year in a row that AkzoNobel has staffed the food booth for We Care’s Cruise Night. Their help allows our staff and other volunteers to focus on selling raffle tickets to those attending Cruise Night.

We Care also would like to thank the Morris Cruise Night Committee members for their selfless dedication to this event, which helps so many nonprofit organizations throughout Grundy County. Our Cruise Night is one of the largest in Illinois, yet it remains a family-friendly free event that is well-organized and fun.

Thanks to the Morris Cruise Night Committee members, our Cruise has become one of the many reasons that Morris is a great place to live and visit!
