Fossil Ridge Public Library December events

BRAIDWOOD – Fossil Ridge Public Library will be holding the following events in December.

• Mitten Tree Donations of hats, mittens and gloves will be collected for distribution to our local schools.

• Monday, 4 to 5 p.m. Teen Book Club – discussing “Looking for Alaska” by John Green

• Tuesday, 5 p.m. Friends of the Library meeting

• Wednesday, 6 to 7 p.m. Winter Craft with Pat Childs for adults, registration required.

• Thursday, 4 to 5 p.m. Junior Friends of the Library meeting.

• Thursday, 5 to 7 p.m.Free movie for teens, “Wreck-It Ralph”

• Dec. 7, 1 p.m. Alternative gift wrap for children. Registration required.

• Dec. 11, 6 to 7 p.m. Chef Kay Bradley presents “Raising the Bar.” Learn to make a variety of dessert bars. Recipes and samples provided. Registration required.

• Dec. 12, 3:45 to 4:15 p.m. Smarty Paints Crafts for kids. Registration required.

• Dec. 12, 5 to 7 p.m. Holiday Ornament Workshop, grades 6-12. Registration required.

• Dec. 13, 10 a.m. to noon. Coffee and bagels at the library, all adults welcome.

• Dec. 18, 5 to 7 p.m. Free movie for adults, “Despicable Me 2”

• Dec. 21, 10 a.m. Santa Bonanza. A visit from Santa and gingerbread tree decorating.

• Dec. 24 to 26, library closed

• Dec. 30, 2 p.m. Just Dance Party for those ages 6 to 12. Registration required.

• Dec. 31 to Jan. 1, library closed
