MORRIS — The Morris Theatre Guild will be performing “Candy Cane Chaos” starting this weekend.

It is an audience participation production that takes place at the North Pole during the weeks leading up to Christmas, according to the MTG website. Santa Claus is missing in action and Mrs. Claus is desperately trying to get toy making, candy making and cookie baking finished up on her own while the elves make mistakes and bungle their way through Christmas chaos.

Six shows will be on four dates of the performance. “Candy Cane Chaos” opens with two performances at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Other scheduled performances include 2:30 p.m. Sunday; 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14; and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 15.

The production will be assisted by Jeff and Jeanette Harris, both of Morris.
