Chapin Park now to take reservations in winter

Published: Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

MORRIS – Mayor Richard Kopczick announced during Monday’s City Council meeting that the city will now take reservations for Chapin Park in the winter.

Previously, the city did not take reservations for parks during the winter time, but with the holiday lighting at Chapin Park, the city is seeing more requests for its use in the winter.

It has received multiple requests for weddings under the holiday lights.

Because of the growing popularity, a reservation now is required, but there is no charge for the use. For information or to make a reservation, call 815-942-0103.
