Frozen sprinkler wrecks computers at Saratoga

Published: Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 5:30 a.m. CDT

MORRIS – Because of the below freezing weather Monday, a sprinkler head froze at Saratoga School causing some equipment damage.

The Morris Fire Protection and Ambulance District reported to the school Monday evening when the sprinkler head froze up in a computer lab, said Chief Tracey Steffes.

Superintendent Kathy Perry said three to five computers were damaged from the water. It was only the computers directly under the sprinkler.

Considering all of the things that could have happened in sub zero weather, Perry said they were lucky.
