Winter retreat to be held for scouts

JOLIET – The Joliet Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting invites all youth members of scouting organizations to attend a winter retreat from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Cathedral of St. Raymond’s, 604 N. Raynor Ave., Joliet.

The theme of the half-day retreat is friendship. Jesus calls his disciples to be His friends. Youth participants and their adult chaperons will discover what this means and how we can live out Christ’s calling in our lives.

The retreat will include video presentations, structured reflections and prayer time, Mass with Fr. Stephen Eickoff, retreat master and chaplain of the Joliet Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting. Lunch will be provided and the cost of the retreat is $15.
