Police seeking information on armed robbery at Morris store

MORRIS – An armed robbery occurred at a store Friday evening in downtown Morris.

Morris police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred about 5 p.m. Friday at Le Mouton Rouge Knittery, in the 400 block of Liberty Street. An undetermined amount of money was taken, said Morris police Chief Brent Dite.

The suspect displayed a weapon, but Dite could not release what type of weapon. An employee was present during the incident, but no one was injured, Dite said.

The suspect was wearing a black North Face jacket and an emerald green sweatshirt. The hood of the sweatshirt had a 4-inch white stripe down the middle of it, according to the Morris Police Department’s Facebook page. The suspect was a white male, about 5-foot-7 and thin.

Morris detectives processed the scene Friday evening and are investigating.
