MORRIS – Marine Adam C. Seidler of Morris has returned home after years of service to his country.

On Nov. 3, 2009, Seidler began his service with the United States Marine Corps, according to a news release. He started with 13 weeks of boot camp in San Diego at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot. Upon graduation of boot camp, he was enrolled into School Of Infantry.

In 2011, he was deployed to Afghanistan for seven months where he picked up the rank of lance corporal before returning to his station in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. One year after his return to Hawaii, he began his second deployment in Japan, which was again for seven months.

On Dec. 2, 2012, while in Japan, he picked up his rank of corporal. He returned to Hawaii and on May 2, 2013, he meritoriously received the rank of sergeant.

Seidler has decided to end active service, and as of Feb. 2 he has returned home to Morris, his family and his friends to start his life’s next chapter.

“I am proud of my son for his service to his country, as he is proud to have served it,” said his father Jeff Seidler, in the release.
