MINOOKA – One man was airlifted after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday on Interstate 80.

State Police Sgt. Jim Powell said the collision occurred around 5 p.m. at milepost 122.

“A Chevy Blazer rolled over in the crash and the driver was airlifted from the scene but his injuries are not life-threatening,” Powell said.

Westbound traffic was shut down after the accident, but all lanes opened by 7 p.m.

The girls basketball regional games at Morris High School were delayed because the teams were stuck in the traffic.

Powell said the crash still is under investigation.

No tickets were issued at the scene.
