Mobile Food Pantry rescheduled to March 26

Published: Friday, March 14, 2014 9:40 p.m. CDT

MAZON – The mobile pantry that was supposed to take place March 12 has been rescheduled to March 26.

It will still take place at the First Baptist Church of Coal City, which is 4.5 miles east of Route 47 on Route 113 at 4470 E. Route 113, Mazon. The distribution will begin at 5 p.m. with registration at about 3:45 p.m.

Any family that resides in Grundy County and is in need of assistance with food is welcome to come to these events. Mobile food pantry attendees are asked to provide proof of their residency either with a valid driver’s license, state identification or utility bill with their current Grundy County address, according to a news release. Every person in line will be asked to show this proof.

Please note that this and all future mobile food pantries will be nonsmoking events.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to bring a container to carry items; plastic laundry baskets and wheeled carts work well. For information call the We Care office at 815-942-6389.
