Newark woman earns coveted pink Cadillac

NEWARK – Mary Kay’s Independent Sales Director Shari Chapman has earned the use of the exclusive Mary Kay pink Cadillac, an iconic symbol of success, the most coveted incentive awarded by Mary Kay.

Chapman resides in Newark with her husband Phil and their five children. 

Chapman will take delivery of the new pearlized pink Cadillac SRX, her sixth Mary Kay career car, at Bill Walsh in Ottawa in June, according to a news release. Mary Kay independent sales force members earn the use of a pink Cadillac by meeting and exceeding goals set within their Mary Kay businesses. 

Chapman began her Mary Kay business as an Independent Beauty Consultant in 2005 and as a direct result of her accomplishments, became an Independent Sales Director in 2007. As an Independent Sales Director, she chooses to provide education, leadership and motivation to other Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants and offers her customers high-quality Mary Kay products. 

“This will be my third Pink Cadillac, and I still can’t believe it,” Chapman said in the release. “Mary Kay Ash wanted the pink Cadillac to be a trophy on wheels for her sales force members who performed at a high level. She believed the women who earned it would be women of integrity, passion, and excellence. I hope I’ve lived up to those standards. I’m forever grateful to that brave woman who started this incredible company 50 years ago. It has changed my life.” 

Mary Kay Independent Sales Directors who earn the use of a pink Cadillac can choose from the CTS and SRX models. The Career Car Program also includes the BMW320i in black, Chevy Equinox crossover in black, Toyota Camry in black and Chevy Cruze in white.

U.S. in the release. “For 50 years, Mary Kay has continued to provide a rewarding opportunity selling irresistible products, changing the lives of women around the world.” 

Since the Career Car Program’s inception in 1969, more than 144,000 independent sales force members have qualified or re-qualified to earn the use of a Mary Kay career car. Currently, 6,032 Mary Kay career cars are on the road nationwide with about 1,318 of those being the coveted Mary Kay pink Cadillac.
