MORRIS – Students at Morris Community High School celebrated spring this week as the Student Council hosted Spring Week 2014.

“It’s a tradition we’ve carried on as a way to help wrap up the year, giving kids something to look forward to before prom and graduation,” Superintendent Pat Halloran said.

Student Council picks a different charity each year, and students purchase T-shirts and pay fees to participate in activities before, during and after school.

Each day is themed, Monday was ’Merica Day, Tuesday was Twin Day, Wednesday was Duck Dynasty Day, and Thursday was T-Shirt Day. Games this year included a bean bag tournament, egg toss and dodgeball among others.

The money raised this year will benefit Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
