Standard Bank helping to make Grundy County better through campaigns
MORRIS – Standard Bank and its employees continue to give back to the community. The bank recently completed its 2014 United Way campaign and 100 percent of their employees participated giving more $1,500, which is an increase over last year’s campaign.
“The employees of Standard Bank choose to donate to United Way to support the efforts they make to improve our community,” Kelly Beaty, Standard Bank president, said in a news release.
In addition to the employee contributions, Standard Bank matched it with a corporate donation to the United Way of Grundy County.
Standard Bank supports the United Way and the Grundy County community in other ways.

on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Grundy County.
Standard Bank and its employees also support other programs and events throughout the year that benefit several local nonprofit organizations in the community. Such programs include the mobile food pantry through We Care of Grundy County, programs and fundraising with Operation St. Nick, the annual Grundy County Back to School Fair and numerous other local programs.
“Standard Bank and its employees have been longtime supporters for our United Way and the community and very involved with local not-for-profit and service organizations,” Karen Nall, executive director of the United Way of Grundy County, said in the release. “They are a great example on how to ‘LIVE UNITED’ to help make Grundy County a better place to live and work.”
The United Way of Grundy County raises funds to support 29 local not-for-profit partner agencies that provide programs and services specifically for Grundy County residents.
These funds support more than one agency and help more than one individual. This year’s campaign goal is $475,000.
