MORRIS – The Morris Elementary School District 54 Parent Teacher Organization is looking for volunteers and office holders for next year.

Current President Angie Nondorf is stepping down and is requesting that parents step up to help the organization, according to a news release. The District 54 PTO holds many fun family events throughout the school year. Some of the events and fundraisers include The Harlem Wizards, Culver’s Nights, Teacher Conference Meals, Family Movie Nights, Fun Day and more.

The District 54 PTO also has raised funds to support school activities and needs such as seventh grade science frogs, library and teacher supplies, kindergarten seat sacks and other needs.

These programs succeed because of the volunteers, according to the release from the PTO. Please become a part of the PTO family and help this program continue to succeed.

The next PTO meeting is at 5 p.m. May 21 in the White Oak Elementary School music room. Contact Angie Nondorf at 815-942-0056 ext. 6835 for information.
