MORRIS – The community is being asked to take part in a coming home procession today for the late Marine Lance Cpl. Steven Hancock.

The community is asked to meet at the parking of U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home, 301 W. Washington St., Morris, by 1:45 p.m. today for further direction, said John Callahan, owner of the funeral home.

A line-up will be formed on Illinois Avenue west of Route 47 to honor Hancock before he is laid to rest. Services for the marine are Thursday evening and Friday morning.

Those who take part will join local law enforcement, fire departments and other organizations in honoring this marine who died suddenly last week in a flight training accident.
