SENECA – Last month Seneca High School held its all-school awards assembly where the following students were honored for outstanding achievements.

Jacquelyn Newberry, Student of the Year. The Student of the Year Award goes to a student who has demonstrated leadership in the classroom, has helped others to learn and be successful, and has achieved academic success.

Mackenzie Juricic, Role Model of the Year. The Role Model of the Year Award goes to a student who has demonstrated good citizenship, has established a solid work ethic, and has been a quiet leader who leads by example.

Kirsten Tendall, Most Improved Student of the Year. The Most Improved Student of the Year Award goes to a student who has shown a positive attitude toward learning, has been enthusiastic about learning, and who has shown steady improvement.

Sean Baker, Rookie of the Year. The Rookie of the Year Award goes to a student who has demonstrated the ability to adapt to high school, has been involved in extracurricular activities, and has shown leadership in the classroom.
