Grundy County grand jury indictments announced

MORRIS – Grundy County State’s Attorney Jason Helland announced the grand jury returned the following indictments July 2. The public is advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.  

• Tanner Bemer, 21, of Minooka, was indicted for the unlawful possession of heroin, a class 4 felony.

• Zoie Chapman, 19, of Morris, was indicted for the unlawful possession of methylphenidate, a class 4 felony.

• Angela Fitch, 47, of Morris, was indicted for two counts of aggravated battery, both class 2 felonies; threatening a public official, a Class 3 felony; and resisting a peace officer, a Class A misdemeanor.

• Deion Gray-Jones, 19, of Minooka, was indicted for aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a class 2 felony.

• Charles Hyslop, 53, of Morris, was indicted for two counts of theft of more than $10,000 but less than $100,000, both Class 2 felonies; and two counts of theft of more than $500, both Class 3 felonies.

• Cobey Roberts, 40, of Coal City, was indicted for two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, both Class 2 felonies.

• James Wiggins, 39, of Morris, was indicted for domestic battery, a Class 4 felony.
